As part of the “Afrin Bridges – Play Brings Us Together” initiative, implemented by SYCAC Organization in partnership with the Step Team, the “Stories from Afrin – Bridging Generations” activity was held, bringing together different generations around a rich cultural heritage that reflects the spirit of the region and the depth of its shared identity.
The activity featured a vibrant presentation of Afrin’s cultural heritage, reviving the collective memory of the region and connecting the present with its roots. It also included performances of traditional songs that celebrated the richness of the local cultural legacy and rekindled a sense of authenticity and belonging.
More than a cultural event, this activity conveyed a powerful message: that a shared identity is the foundation upon which social cohesion is built, and that the stories we carry from the past serve as the strongest bridge toward a future rooted in unity, mutual understanding, and respect.
This project is funded by BMZ and implemented in partnership with Welthungerhilfe (WHH).
