As part of the “Digital Leaders for Peaceful Coexistence” initiative, implemented by SYCAC Organization in partnership with the Ledies for Change Team in Afrin, a specialized awareness training on Hate Speech Analysis and Digital Ethics was delivered to young women preparing to produce positive and responsible digital content.
The training explored how to identify different forms and patterns of hate speech in digital spaces, as well as strategies for countering them through constructive content that promotes the values of peaceful coexistence. It also addressed the ethics of digital influence and the responsibility of content creators to shape narratives that respect diversity and foster trust among different segments of society.
Through this training, participants are developing strong digital literacy and critical thinking skills that strengthen their awareness of their responsibilities as digital content creators. It empowers them to become voices for peace in an online environment that, now more than ever, needs content that brings people together rather than divides them.
This project is funded by BMZ and implemented in partnership with Welthungerhilfe (WHH).
