Fundraising, Proposal Writing, and Financial Sustainability Training

SYCAC Organization concluded a specialized training in fundraising, proposal writing, and financial sustainability in Gaziantep, bringing together representatives from 10 refugee-led organizations and youth groups across five Turkish provinces.

The training was designed in line with SYCAC Organization’s vision of empowering refugee-led organizations with the knowledge and practical skills needed to access funding opportunities, develop high-quality proposals that align with donor requirements, and design more sustainable and impactful projects.

The program combined practical and interactive sessions covering donor landscape analysis, proposal development, budgeting, and financial sustainability models. It concluded with a hands-on simulation of the proposal evaluation process, providing participants with practical insight into how funding applications are assessed.

This training forms part of a broader series of capacity-building programs implemented by SYCAC Organization for civil society organizations and youth groups, with the aim of strengthening their institutional and leadership capacities and enabling them to contribute more effectively to social cohesion and the development of their local communities.

As a next step, participants will organize knowledge-sharing sessions within their respective areas of work, helping to extend the impact of the training and transfer the acquired knowledge and skills to a wider network of organizations and local communities.
