As part of the Livestock Support Initiative for widowed women in rural Afrin, implemented by SYCAC, our field teams have begun the construction and preparation of poultry coops in five targeted villages: Tel Gazi, Bozaki, Titebeh, Alkabirah, and Marata.
This step aims to create safe and healthy environments for poultry rearing, in preparation for distributing the chickens to the widowed women beneficiaries of the initiative. The activity contributes to improving food security and enhancing sustainable income sources for the targeted families.
This initiative represents an essential step toward the economic empowerment of women and the stabilization of rural communities through small-scale, sustainable livelihood projects.
This project is funded by BMZ and implemented in partnership with Welthungerhilfe (WHH).
