As part of supporting environmental initiatives and promoting sustainable livelihoods, a specialized training on Azolla cultivation was launched for the Environment and Peace Team in Sharran village, Afrin countryside, with the support and supervision of SYCAC Organization.
The training focused on introducing the Azolla plant and highlighting its importance as a sustainable environmental and economic solution, in addition to practical aspects of cultivation, care methods, and mechanisms for utilizing it as a low-cost alternative feed that supports livestock projects and reduces the financial burden on farmers.
SYCAC’s involvement in this training reflects its commitment to supporting local initiatives and building the capacities of community teams by promoting environmental solutions that contribute to improving food security and protecting natural resources in the region.
SYCAC believes in the importance of investing in local environmental initiatives as a key entry point for achieving community-based sustainable development and will continue to support activities that enhance environmental awareness and create practical opportunities for communities in the Afrin countryside.
