As part of peer learning and mentorship activities, SYCAC conducted the first peer learning session in Ma'arat Misrin, with 18 participants from CBOs and community committees in Northwest Syria. This session is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the CBOs and community committees.
The session focused on exchanging practical experiences and lessons learned from previous trainings and initiatives, while discussing the key challenges and achievements that teams and committees have encountered in capacity building. The session also resulted in recommendations to enhance coordination, including:
- Establishing a clear mechanism for information coordination between volunteer teams and community committees.
- Enhancing transparency and practical coordination to ensure a work environment based on trust and clarity.
- Involving committees in future initiatives and projects led by volunteer teams to promote collaboration.
- Sharing experiences and information among stakeholders to leverage each group’s strengths.
These sessions aim to foster cooperation and create a safe space for participants to exchange knowledge and experiences, contributing to the continuity of work and the development of community initiatives.
