In the far reaches of rural Afrin, the village of Lower Kafardali faced significant challenges, yet hope emerged from within the community itself.
With support from SYCAC, the community committee was able to transform tensions into cooperation, and gaps into bridges of trust and dialogue.
Through steady steps, these efforts culminated in the initiative “Together We Are Stronger”, extending support to people with disabilities and the elderly through lighting that dispels darkness, medical assistance that restores dignity, care that touches hearts before homes, and community awareness sessions.
What happened in Lower Kafardali is more than an activity — it is a story of empowerment, showing that when people have a voice, change becomes possible.
Today, after months of work and learning, community committees have become symbols of hope, proving that real development begins when people have the tools, and initiatives find those who believe in them.
SYCAC continues to support community committees to serve as genuine models in building social cohesion and justice.
