In light of the legal challenges that residents face regarding housing, land, and property issues, SYCAC is launching the “Legal Clinic” initiative in Afrin—an accessible and safe space that offers free legal counseling and awareness sessions aimed at strengthening the right to housing and reducing risks related to property disputes.
The initiative focuses on establishing a community-based legal clinic dedicated to providing legal consultations and informational support on Housing, Land, and Property (HLP) matters, while also building effective coordination channels with official entities and local committees.
🔹 Key activities include:
📌 Establishing a community legal clinic in Afrin
📌 Conducting a workshop to define the scope of work and develop an implementation plan
📌 Providing free, individualized legal consultations to community members
📌 Delivering community awareness sessions on housing, land, and property rights
📌 Organizing a consultative dialogue session with local stakeholders
Implementing Team: Community Engagement
This project is funded by BMZ and implemented in partnership with Welthungerhilfe (WHH).
