As part of strengthening the capacities of community-based organizations in Northern Aleppo, SYCAC launched a protection orientation training, delivered by specialists from Welthungerhilfe (WHH). The training was attended by 16 participants (13 females - 3 males) from the selected organizations and will continue for three consecutive days, covering important topics such as:
- Fundamental Humanitarian Principles and Standards and Their Importance: How to adhere to humanitarian standards to ensure the effective delivery of support.
- Principles of Protection Mainstreaming: How to integrate protection concepts into humanitarian programs to ensure the safeguarding of vulnerable groups.
- Vulnerabilities: Identifying factors that increase the vulnerability of target groups.
- Environmental Factors: How the surrounding environment affects the provision of humanitarian assistance.
- Personal Factors: Focusing on personal characteristics that may influence the response of target groups.
This training aims to enhance the capacities of community-based organizations by improving their understanding of the humanitarian system and ensuring the application of humanitarian standards in their programs, contributing to the effective and sustainable support of the communities they serve.
