As part of our efforts to support the agricultural sector and strengthen farmers' resilience against climate challenges, we launch the "Green Gold: Giving and Growing" initiative in Afrin - Rural Bulbul.
🔹 Main Objective:
To enhance farmers' capacities by providing knowledge on modern agricultural practices and supporting sustainable agricultural production in the face of environmental risks.
🔹 Activities:
1️⃣ Agricultural Training: 20 farmers (5 women and 15 men) in Kutnli village will be trained on modern farming techniques and pest management.
2️⃣ Natural Resource Protection: Training sessions on reducing damage and preserving olive and fruit trees.
3️⃣ Equipment Support: Distribution of agricultural tools, including fertilizer carts, pruning shears, hand saws, pesticide sprayers, shovels, axes, and manual plows to improve productivity.
4️⃣ Follow-up: Post-distribution monitoring to ensure the effective use of equipment.
5️⃣ Olive Harvest Support: Distribution of 1,000 empty oil tins to farmers.
🔹 Expected Impact:
- Empowering 20 farmers to improve productivity and achieve sustainable agriculture.
- Strengthening resilience against environmental risks and fostering community collaboration between displaced individuals and host communities.
- Enhancing the quality of agricultural production, contributing to self-sufficiency, and aiding recovery from the effects of conflict.
