"The Effects of Excessive Use of Chemical Fertilizers on the Environment and Society" An Initiative by SYCAC in Kafr Shil

As part of our efforts to promote sustainable agricultural practices, SYCAC is launching the "The Effects of Excessive Use of Chemical Fertilizers on the Environment and Society" initiative in Kafr Shil village, Afrin region.

🔹 Main Objective:
The initiative aims to raise farmers' awareness of the negative impacts of excessive use of chemical fertilizers and encourage their shift to organic fertilizers to enhance environmental and agricultural sustainability.

🔹 Activities:

1️⃣ Environmental Awareness Sessions:
Conducting four awareness sessions focusing on the importance of efficient water management and the risks of over-irrigation. Each session will target 15 participants, reaching a total of 60 farmers.

2️⃣ Agricultural Training Workshops:
Delivering three hands-on training workshops for 15 farmers on techniques for producing and utilizing organic fertilizers.

3️⃣ Support for Water Stations:
Providing fuel support for a water station in Afrin (Abdullah Tower Station), in coordination with the Directorate of Agriculture.

🔹 Expected Impact:

Reducing environmental and health risks caused by chemical fertilizers.
Increasing farmers’ awareness of sustainable agricultural practices.
Enhancing agricultural productivity while conserving natural resources.
