In one of the most significant steps toward sustainable and meaningful economic empowerment, 20 women entrepreneurs have successfully completed the first phase of the Business Development Support Program in Gaziantep, under the RE-SEED project implemented by SYCAC. The project aims to reshape the economic landscape in earthquake-affected areas by investing in individuals capable of driving recovery and development.
Over five intensive days, the participants engaged in a practical learning journey to understand the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Türkiye, as well as the legal and tax frameworks that shape the future of their businesses.
Yet beyond knowledge, something equally valuable began to take shape: a network built on trust, mutual support, and a shared determination to create impact.
This training is not a standalone activity, but part of a broader strategic approach aimed at building a strong local entrepreneurial ecosystem one led by women and generating positive ripple effects across families and communities.
This activity is implemented under the project “Resilient Employment and Socio-Economic Development in Earthquake-Affected Areas in Türkiye (RE-SEED)”, co-funded by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and implemented by GIZ in partnership with the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye (TBB) and SYCAC.
