As part of efforts to strengthen the role of national organizations in Syria, SYCAC participated in the Local NGOs Day within the framework of the Syria NGO Forum, which focused on defining priorities for the upcoming phase.
The day included a dedicated session that brought together national NGOs with the UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator for Syria, Ms. Nathalie Fustier, who listened to key challenges facing local organizations. Discussions explored ways to address these challenges and improve the enabling environment for their work.
The discussions emphasized the pivotal role of local actors in humanitarian and development responses in Syria, and the importance of supporting and empowering them to ensure more effective and sustainable interventions.
