Distribution of Production Kits and Assistive Devices for Persons with Disabilities in Afrin

As part of efforts to promote inclusive livelihoods, production kits were provided to support small home-based projects, alongside the provision of assistive devices to facilitate the participation of persons with disabilities in training and work. This support was delivered under the initiative “Supporting Persons with Disabilities in Agriculture and Food Preservation,” implemented by the Shabab pro Team in the Kombleh settlement and the village of Juwaiq in rural Afrin, with the support and supervision of SYCAC.

These interventions aim to enable persons with disabilities to actively engage in productive activities and strengthen their self-reliance by providing practical tools tailored to their needs, creating real opportunities for work and production within their homes.

SYCAC’s role in this initiative reflects its commitment to mainstreaming disability inclusion within development programming, enhancing community participation, and supporting initiatives grounded in equity, inclusion, and sustainability.

SYCAC believes that true empowerment begins with equal access to opportunities and the provision of tools that enable everyone to contribute and build a future rooted in dignity and stability.

This project is funded by BMZ and implemented in partnership with Welthungerhilfe (WHH).
