Awareness Session on Housing and Property Rights in Afrin

As part of efforts to strengthen legal awareness and protect rights, an awareness session on Housing, Land, and Property (HLP) rights was held in Afrin under the “Legal Clinic” initiative, implemented by the Community Engagement Team with the support and supervision of SYCAC.

The session aimed to introduce participants to key concepts related to housing, land, and property rights, mechanisms for protecting these rights, and the importance of legal awareness in reducing disputes and promoting community stability—particularly in crisis-affected areas where residents face complex legal challenges.

SYCAC’s role in this activity reflects its commitment to supporting the HLP sector by enhancing access to legal information, providing legal counseling, strengthening the capacities of community-based initiatives, and empowering individuals to understand and claim their rights through lawful and peaceful means.

SYCAC believes that awareness of legal rights is a cornerstone for protecting human dignity, promoting social peace, and building more just and stable communities.

This project is funded by BMZ and implemented in partnership with Welthungerhilfe (WHH).
