In an engaging and insightful session, the Environment and Peace team — one of the eight teams selected by SYCAC — held an awareness session with a group of farmers in Haj Khalil village, rural Afrin, as part of the LANN+ program, which aims to promote sound linkages between agriculture, nutrition, and the environment.
The discussion addressed the importance of healthy farming practices in improving food quality and explored how to maintain clean and safe crops through proper irrigation, fertilization, and the use of organic fertilizers.
Participants also discussed practical solutions to everyday agricultural challenges, such as water scarcity and climate change, and learned about sustainable resource management techniques, including rainwater harvesting, drip irrigation, and reusing crop residues to improve soil fertility.

Through these sessions, we cultivate awareness just as we cultivate the land — awareness that nourishes people and protects the environment.
