TOT within the LANN+ methodology

Within the framework of the Community Resilience Capacity-Building Project, SYCAC Organization implemented a specialized Training of Trainers (ToT) based on the LANN+ methodology, targeting members of partner organizations who will later deliver community awareness sessions across villages in Afrin.

The two-day training covered a wide range of theoretical and practical topics, beginning with the concept of malnutrition, its causes, symptoms, consequences, and detection methods, and extending to macro- and micronutrients, balanced diets, and key awareness messages for pregnant and breastfeeding women, as well as complementary feeding practices.

The training also addressed topics related to dietary diversity, home gardening during summer and winter seasons, the optimal use of food resources, soil and water management, the impact of agricultural factors on nutrition, sustainable natural resource management, and the role of hygiene in ensuring food safety.

Through this training, SYCAC Organization seeks to build qualified local cadres capable of transferring agricultural and nutritional knowledge to local communities in an effective and sustainable manner because when awareness grows from within the community itself, it creates deeper and longer-lasting impact.

This project is funded by BMZ and implemented in partnership with Welthungerhilfe (WHH).
