As part of efforts to promote environmental awareness and participatory community work, SYCAC launched the initiative "Together for a Better Environment and Community" under the project "Empowering Women and Youth as Key Partners in Building Resilient Communities in Northwest Syria."
The initiative aims to foster a culture of volunteerism and contribute to improving the local environment and community.
The initiative's activities include:
- Organizing an introductory session to present the initiative and highlight the importance of volunteerism and individual roles in supporting the community
- Conducting a training on the significance of volunteering and its role in community development
- Enhancing the local environment by planting fruit trees at 100 locations within the village
- Creating a community mural by painting a wall at the village entrance that reflects social values
- Improving infrastructure by installing waiting benches, a shelter, and solar-powered lighting at the bus station
