SYCAC Organization announces the launch of eight distinctive community initiatives in various areas of Afrin and Azaz countryside, aimed at improving the economic, environmental, and social realities, as well as enhancing awareness and sustainability.
The initiatives are being implemented by the community organizations selected earlier, which participated in the training pathway developed by SYCAC to strengthen all departments working within the teams.
Implementation Locations:
The initiatives will cover the areas of: "Nada - Talil Sham - Shamarin - Bab Alsalama - Ma'rata - Kutnli - Kfar Safra - Ain Dara / Kafr Sheil"
The initiatives and their objectives:
1- "Creativity of a Woman": Contributing to improving the economic, living, and social status of women in the Ma'rata area of Afrin by facilitating their entry into the labor market.
2- "Green Gold, Giving and Growing": Contributing to enhancing the abilities of farmers in Afrin and its countryside to adapt to the effects of drought and climate change on olive and fruit tree cultivation, by providing knowledge on modern agricultural practices and offering practical solutions based on sustainable farming techniques.
3- "Instilling Hope": Contributing to increasing green spaces and raising environmental awareness in the Afrin area.
4- "The Effects of Excessive Use of Chemical Fertilizers on the Environment and Society": Educating farmers about the negative impact of excessive use of chemical fertilizers on crops and the environment.
5- "BEIT ELMUNE": Economically empowering women in Nada village by enhancing their skills in food preservation (Mouna) and providing them with the training needed to start their own businesses in this field, contributing to improving livelihoods and providing sustainable income for the targeted families.
6- "Grass": Increasing green spaces and raising environmental awareness in the Bab al-Salama area.
7- "Organic Fertilizers for Sustainable Agriculture and Additional Household Income": Raising awareness about the importance of using organic fertilizers and improving sustainable agricultural practices among rural communities by providing awareness workshops and individual sessions on the pros and cons of organic fertilizers, enabling participants to apply this knowledge practically through the distribution of financial vouchers to purchase winter agricultural seeds, thus increasing household income and achieving agricultural and economic sustainability.
8- "Fingers of the Future": Contributing to improving the economic status of displaced and resident women in Talil al-Sham, Azaz countryside, by equipping them with food industry skills, enabling them to secure job opportunities and sustainable income.
