SYCAC Organization is set to launch 8 community-based initiatives across 4 different areas in rural Idlib as part of the project: “Empowering Women and Youth as Key Partners in Building Resilient Communities in Northwest Syria.”
Through these initiatives, SYCAC aims to promote sustainable development, empower diverse community groups, and improve the overall quality of life in the targeted areas.
The initiatives encompass a variety of activities designed to economically and socially empower women and youth, strengthen community cohesion, improve the local environment, and create inclusive economic opportunities.
Target Locations:Maaret Al-Ikhwan – Qourqania – Barisha – Harbanoush
The upcoming initiatives include:1- “Soap Stories” Initiative – Economic empowerment of women through training in soap and detergent production, while promoting social cohesion.
2- “Creative Hands” Initiative – Empowering women through skills in recycling and handmade bag production, alongside raising environmental awareness.
3- “Together for a Better Environment and Community” Initiative – Promoting a culture of volunteerism and environmental responsibility through community clean-up actions and tree planting.
4- “The Tree – Life and Peace” Initiative – Increasing green spaces and planting olive trees to promote environmental sustainability and peaceful coexistence.
5- “Together for Change” Initiative – Empowering youth economically through vocational training in handicrafts and detergent making, as well as enhancing marketing skills.
6- “Let’s Strive Together” Initiative – Enhancing community safety by installing solar-powered streetlights and conducting public clean-up campaigns.
7- "Seeds of Goodness" Initiative – Enhancing food security by promoting a culture of home gardening and providing hands-on agricultural training.
8- "Towards Economic Independence for Women" Initiative – Empowering women through training on dairy production and its derivatives, as well as developing marketing and financial management skills.
These initiatives aim to foster social and economic inclusion and contribute to a safer, more sustainable environment across rural Idlib.
