Inheritance is Women's Right

Syrian women still endure various forms of violence and discrimination, whether in Syrian laws and the constitution or within customs and traditions. One crucial issue is the phenomenon of inheritance deprivation, where laws remain inadequate in ensuring women receive their inheritance rights. This contributes to keeping women below the poverty line and perpetuates their dependence on male family members for economic matters. It also directly weakens their participation in society due to a lack of economic independence.
