Over the course of two days, SYCAC organized a workshop titled “From Experience to Impact,” bringing together all eight selected community teams under the project “Strengthening Resilience in Earthquake-Affected Areas.” The workshop aimed to create a space for knowledge exchange that enhances the impact of community initiatives and supports their long-term sustainability.
The workshop served as a dynamic platform for sharing field-based experiences, where teams presented inspiring success stories, real challenges encountered during implementation, and key lessons learned around participatory engagement with local communities. Several teams reflected on the tangible impact their initiatives had on community awareness and engagement, particularly in the areas of health, agriculture, environment, and legal rights.
The workshop also created meaningful opportunities for networking among teams, facilitating the exchange of tools and approaches, and the development of initial ideas for future local partnerships. A number of teams have already begun coordinating with active community stakeholders to ensure the continuity and sustainability of initiative outcomes beyond the funding period.
Through this gathering, SYCAC reaffirms that community-led experience is not an endpoint, but the beginning of a deeper pathway toward impact, learning, and integration within civil society action where initiatives evolve from isolated activities into sustainable impact driven by the community itself.
