“Digital Leaders for Peaceful Coexistence” Initiative

When young women are equipped with digital expression tools and empowered to use them to promote peace, the digital space can be transformed from a platform for hate into a space for hope and positive change.

With this vision, SYCAC Organization, in partnership with the Ladies for Change Team, launched the initiative “Digital Leaders for Peaceful Coexistence” in Afrin as part of the Community Resilience Capacity-Building Project. The initiative aims to empower young women digitally and intellectually to create positive media content that promotes the values of peaceful coexistence and shared citizenship, while building bridges of trust among different community groups.

The initiative includes the recruitment of participants and the formation of a specialized working group, followed by training on artificial intelligence tools and digital content creation. Participants will also develop skills in analyzing hate speech and understanding the ethics of digital influence, leading to the launch of their own digital campaign and the implementation of community awareness sessions that promote a culture of peace.

This initiative is not merely a technical training program; it is a transformative journey that empowers young women to move from being consumers of content to becoming digital leaders who create safe spaces for dialogue and develop positive narratives that reflect the values of diversity and mutual respect.

This project is funded by BMZ and implemented in partnership with Welthungerhilfe (WHH).
