SYCAC has concluded the fourth training module titled Conflict Sensitivity, as part of the Empowering Women and Youth as Key Partners in Building Resilient Communities in Northwest Syria project. The final session was attended by 16 participants (12 females - 4 males) from selected local organizations. It covered several important topics, including:
- Steps for conflict-sensitive development: How to develop projects that are sensitive to conflict dynamics.
- Scenario analysis (connectors and dividers): Analyzing elements that either drive conflict or foster resolution.
- Stakeholder mapping: Identifying key actors in the conflict and their influence on development processes.
- Integrating conflict sensitivity into development projects: Ensuring that interventions do not exacerbate existing conflicts.
- Principles and recommendations for conflict sensitivity: Guidelines for addressing conflict throughout project planning and implementation.
The goal of this training module is to enhance participants' understanding of working in conflict-sensitive environments and ensure that their development interventions contribute to more stable and sustainable communities.
