Training Objective:
The training aims to enhance participants' skills in organizing community dialogues in preparation for launching local dialogue sessions in March and April 2025. These dialogues seek to foster trust and mutual understanding among different community groups.
Training Topics:
- Theories of conflict transformation and the role of dialogue in peacebuilding.
- The distinction between dialogue, debate, mediation, and arbitration.
- Dialogue in Middle Eastern cultures and its significance in local communities.
- Mechanisms for organizing and managing effective community dialogues.
The training is conducted online, with four hours of daily sessions, emphasizing interactive participation and practical application of acquired concepts.
This initiative aligns with SYCAC’s ongoing efforts to promote community dialogue and foster a culture of peace and understanding in Syria, recognizing dialogue as a fundamental tool for building cohesive societies capable of overcoming differences through peaceful means.
