As part of the capacity building program for civil society organizations, the SYCAC Organization is working on the project “Empowering Women and Youth as Key Partners in Building Resilient Communities in Northwest Syria.” Through this project, SYCAC has launched a survey aimed at attracting teams and initiatives led by women and youth in northwest Syria, specifically in Qourqeena , Barisha , Maarat Al Ikhwan , and Haranabush . The goal is to assess capacities and support the development of these community teams and initiatives, assist them in designing and managing community dialogues, and implement initiatives based on current needs following an in-depth analysis of the target communities.
We invite women and youth-led teams and initiatives to fill out the survey (which should take no more than 15 minutes). We stress the importance of providing accurate information through the questionnaire, as this will help us in the evaluation and selection process. We assure you that the information collected will remain confidential and will only be used to design future capacity building programs.
The deadline to fill out the questionnaire is Wednesday, July 9, 2024.
Selected women and youth-led teams and initiatives will be contacted and interviewed after the application process through an assessment and verification process, adhering to strict criteria. Basic criteria include that the team/initiative be politically independent, small in size in terms of the number of team members, active in the targeted locations, committed to developing its capabilities, and meeting other criteria related to the team’s capabilities.
