Introduction:
This paper was prepared in consultation with a group of male and female members of the Syrian Peacebuilding Club, a project implemented by SYCAC funded by European Commission. The Club consists of a group of individuals from six different Syrian regions, working to rebuild bridges of trust and open channels of dialogue between the components of Syrian society. The project focuses on restoring the broken Syrian social contract and building sustainable peace that guarantees social justice between the various components of the Syrian social fabric. The club believes in justice, equality, and partnership to reach a common ground based on active citizenship and the advancement of human rights.
